Encrypt Escape Rooms was founded by Austin and Kiley Truex. In the summer of 2021, Austin and Kiley teamed up to design and run an escape room fundraiser for the Elkhorn Valley Museum. (Initially, the escape room was going to be held in the cave in Verges Park on the museum property, hence the name          En-Crypt Escape Rooms!)

With unbelievable support from friends, family, and the community, Austin and Kiley began exploring the possibility of opening a permanent escape room business, and Encrypt Escape Rooms officially opened in downtown Norfolk in the fall of 2022!
